Infection Control & Prevention is a course that will help staff in all working environments such as the care industry, dental, childcare and office. It will help them to understand what they can do to prevent the spread of infections within the workplace.
Once an infection contaminates a door handle, keyboard or even a telephone in your workplace, it can spread around the building within two to four hours. Exposure to infection in most workplaces is an incdental risk and cannot be determined to any particular working practice.
The course concentrates on the main infections which we are exposed to on a day to day basis. It covers what they are, how they are transmitted, who is likely to catch them and more importantly how you can help to prevent the spread of infection. This training is particularly useful to individuals working within the Care industry where sometimes staff may be working with vulnerable people and therefore infection control and prevention is a high priority.
